Winemaking: The grape berries are macerated 14 to 16 days at a temperature of between 25 to 29 0C. The process of pressing is followed by malolactic fermentation and maturing in large oak barrels and 225 litre Barrique barrels for at least 24 months.
Colour: The wine has an intense ruby red colour with soft shades of brick - red, wich become visible towards the rim of the glass.
Bouquet: The rich and complex aromatics of this wine are reminiscent of dried plums, cherry brandy, forest undergrowth, soot, liquorice, white pepper, leather and herbs.
Taste: the wine is full - bodied, nicely structured and superiorly ripe. The taste of the wine in the mouth includes rich aromas of ripe dark berries and herbs. The ripe and sweet tannins with a scent of noble notes of wood give the wine a plesant long finish.
Peak drinking: 2015 -2020
Wine and food: It goes very well with red meat, game, medium matured cheese, beefsteak Florentine style, all types of beefsteaks, spicy sauces..
