Winemaking: The best grapes from selected locations are destemmed and macerated for up to 18 days. After the process of pressing and biological deacidification, the wine matures in 225 litre Barrique barrels for up to 3 years. It is then put in large oak barrels where it matures until bottling.

Soil type: Eocene flysch, marl and sandstone
Colour: Intensive ruby red colour with gentle shades of brick red.
Aroma: You can enjoy the extremely complex aromatic notes of black currant, cherry brandy, leather, dried plums, black truffles, dark chocolate, and herbs.
Taste: The taste of this especially rich wine is reminiscent of ripe red fruit, leather, dark chocolate, tobacco, and forest undergrowth. Notes of wood and beautifully ripe tannins give this wine nice potential for further ageing.
Aging potential: 8 years and up
Food and wine pairing recommendation: This wine goes nicely with all types of medallions and steaks, meat with spicy sauces, and medium matured cheeses.
